Nyewood Lane
Street guide, Bognor Regis
Nyewood Lane runs through the Nyetimber area to the west of Bognor Regis, connecting Aldwick Road to the residential streets of this quiet suburban district. The lane has a distinctly residential character, lined with detached and semi-detached houses from the inter-war and post-war periods, many with generous plots. The Nyetimber area is one of the quieter parts of the wider Bognor district, set back from the main roads and the seafront. Nyewood Lane takes its name from the hamlet of Nyewood, though the modern road bears little resemblance to the rural lane it once was. The area has good access to Aldwick village and its shops, and to the beach at Aldwick and Pagham, making it a popular residential location for families and retired residents. There is limited through traffic, which contributes to the calm character of the street.
