Felpham Road
Street guide, Bognor Regis
Felpham Road is the principal route eastward from Bognor Regis town centre to the village of Felpham. It is a busy road, carrying traffic between the two settlements and onwards towards Middleton-on-Sea. The western end near the town centre is more commercial in character, with some shops and businesses, while the eastern section is predominantly residential with inter-war and post-war housing. Felpham Road passes close to the University of Chichester's Bognor Regis campus, which generates additional pedestrian and vehicle traffic during term time. The road is served by bus routes connecting Felpham and Middleton to the town centre and the railway station. Along its length there are turnings to residential streets both north and south, feeding into the wider suburban areas of eastern Bognor. Felpham Road is one of the busiest routes in the town and has seen periodic calls for traffic calming measures.
