London Road is the main route northward out of Bognor Regis towards Chichester Road and the A29. The street has a mixed character, with commercial premises, takeaways, and small businesses near the town centre giving way to residential properties further north through the North Bersted area. The road carries a steady volume of traffic throughout the day as the primary access route from the north. Buildings are predominantly twentieth-century, with inter-war semis and post-war development along much of its length. The Bersted area to the north has seen considerable new housebuilding in recent years, increasing the traffic load on this corridor. Bus services to Chichester and surrounding villages use London Road as their main route through the town. The street retains a handful of older buildings near its southern end that predate the wider suburban development.
