Limmer Lane runs between Felpham and Middleton-on-Sea, forming the eastern boundary of the Felpham residential area. The lane has retained something of a semi-rural character in places, though modern residential development has encroached on both sides. The road is used as a route between Felpham and Middleton and carries a moderate volume of local traffic. Housing along Limmer Lane is a mix of periods, from older properties that predate the suburban expansion to modern estates built on former agricultural land. The lane passes close to playing fields and open space, and there are views across flat coastal plain landscape in places. Limmer Lane connects to the network of residential streets that make up the eastern side of the Felpham area, and provides access to Felpham village centre and its shops.
