The Esplanade

Beach & Seafront, Bognor Regis

The Esplanade is the seafront promenade running along the beach at Bognor Regis. The promenade provides a continuous walking route with benches, shelters, and direct access to the shingle beach below. Views look south across the English Channel, and on clear days the Isle of Wight is visible to the south-west. The Esplanade is the traditional focus of seaside activity in the town, with the war memorial, the old pier site, and Marine Park Gardens all located along its length. The road behind the promenade is lined with hotels, guest houses, and converted seafront properties. The annual International Birdman Rally takes place from the old pier site on the Esplanade.
