Hotham Park House

Historic Site, Bognor Regis

Hotham Park House is a Grade II listed building that was originally the home of Sir Richard Hotham, the London hatter who founded Bognor as a seaside resort in the 1780s. The house has been substantially altered over the centuries but retains its historical significance as the building around which Hotham's resort was planned. The house and its surrounding park were acquired by the local authority in the twentieth century. The building has served various community and council purposes over the years. It stands within Hotham Park, and its presence adds historical depth to the park's recreational offering.
