Hotham Park
Park & Garden, Bognor Regis
Hotham Park is the principal public park in Bognor Regis, covering approximately 11 acres to the north of the town centre. The park was once the grounds of Hotham Park House, the home of Sir Richard Hotham, the eighteenth-century developer who founded the seaside resort. Today the park provides a miniature railway, a boating lake, a putting green, a children's playground, and a cafe. The mature trees, including some fine specimen plantings, give the park a character that goes beyond the typical municipal recreation ground. The park is managed by Arun District Council and is a Green Flag Award holder. It is well used throughout the year by families, dog walkers, and residents, and hosts occasional outdoor events during the summer months.
