Rose Green
Spacious, quiet residential area between Aldwick and Pagham, with bungalow-lined roads, local shops, and easy access to Pagham Harbour nature reserve.
Rose Green is a residential area to the south-west of the main Bognor Regis built-up area, lying between Aldwick and Pagham. The area is centred on Rose Green Road and the surrounding residential streets, with a character that is suburban, open, and quiet. Housing is a mix of inter-war bungalows, post-war semis, and some newer development, with generous gardens and wide, tree-lined roads that give the area a spacious feel quite different from the denser streets nearer the town centre. Rose Green has a small parade of shops serving the immediate neighbourhood, including a convenience store, hairdresser, and takeaway. The area is within walking distance of Aldwick Beach to the south and the open fields towards Pagham to the west. Pagham Harbour nature reserve, one of the most important bird sites on the south coast and a Site of Special Scientific Interest, is accessible from Rose Green via footpaths and quiet lanes. The schools in the area include Rose Green Junior School, which serves families from across the south-western part of the Bognor area. The character is firmly residential, with nothing of the resort atmosphere that characterises the seafront. Residents tend to be families and retirees who value the quiet streets, the green surroundings, and the proximity to both the coast and the open countryside. Rose Green is technically within the Aldwick parish, and the community associations reflect that connection rather than an identity tied to central Bognor. Property prices are moderate by south coast standards, and the area attracts buyers who want space and quiet without having to leave the urban area entirely.
